The Gasoline Gypsies-Roots Rock Revolution

The Gasoline Gypsies-Roots Rock Revolution

Friday, October 18th 2019 8:00 pm

Lexington, MI: The Gasoline Gypsies are proud to present the grand debut of the "Roots Rock Revolution",
a variety style concert aimed at reviving the Soul of Rock and Roll! Friday October 18, Lexington Theatre,
featuring Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils, and some other secret surprise special guests,
too!
Tickets, $10, 15 and $25, on sale now at www.LexingtonVillageTheatre.com, special VIP reception options
available, also! More information at www.TheGasolineGypsies.com
The Gypsies, of Port Huron are poised to embark on a grand new mission and adventure, as the reach and
popularity of the band's music is rapidly expanding to other regions of the US and Canada...and all roots
rock fans, of yesterday and today, are invited to join the revolution! Throughout this busy summer
festival tour season, the Gypsies have been tuning in to an amazing phenomenon, pretty much wherever
they travel...observing that music fans, and audiences everywhere, are totally embracing and grooving
along with a revival and rebirth of the true spirit of vintage roots rock music. To be clear, this revolution
isn't an attempt to emulate classic rock legends, or even to pay homage to the giants of rock that have
gone before, although that is certainly part of the magic...but rather to rekindle a flame, and a spirit of
shared community, that has been lying dormant in rock and roll for some time. It's a celebration of what
moves people, at a soul level.... what makes them leave all their worries and cares at the gate, and come
together, from all walks of life and belief systems, just to jam and dance and be free. It may be an
overstatement to say that this might eventually solve all the world's problems, but hey, it might just be
the start of something huge, who's to say? Look for more Roots Rock Revolution shows, coming soon!!
The Gasoline Gypsies serve up genre-transcending Blue Water Michigan Rock & Roll, delivered by four
guys who clearly love their craft. With three-part vocal harmonies, driving guitar and bass riffs, the songs
are powerful and intense, yet simple and pure. In the last couple of years, the Gypsies have racked up five
Detroit Music Awards, been deemed one of the "Three Best Unsigned Bands in the USA" by JBL, were
Grand Prize Winners of the 2017 Michigan State Fair Superstar contest and voted Best Original Rock
Band in the 2018 WDIV Local 4 Detroit Viewers Poll.
"Jennifer Westwood and the Handsome Devils sound like they made a serendipitous wrong turn on their
way to the juke joint and wound up in a countrypolitan cathedral instead. It's beautiful and ever so
haunting. Westwood's voice is sexy and strong as it applies the seduction over the band's groove and
thoughtful reserve...and the Handsome Devils lay it down as pretty as their golden haired captain. It's
honky-tonk with a little less honky. It's atmospheric yet immediate and approachable. It packs a wallop"
- Rochester City Newspaper
The Gypsies fun and actively connected extended fan family, the Vagabundos, are the main driving force
behind the Roots Rock Revolution! Established in early 2018, the Vagabundos tribe is expanding rapidly,
shooting past 500 members this summer, and growing continually, as the band tours and gathers more
new friends along the way... who dig the music and catch the spirit, of the powerfully fun vibes that are
shared by all, along the Gasoline Gypsies adventure road ...
Roots rock is rock music that looks back to rock's origins in folk, blues and country music. ...
Revolution: a sudden, complete or marked change in something...
a return, as if in a circuit, back to a starting point or origin...

Naughty students may well find themselves on stage sitting in a corner reflecting their actions. However, even the most reluctant "students" will be clamoring to get into this Sister's class.
